Terms of service

The boring page, written plainly.

Short version: use NestBoard for what it's for, treat your household members kindly, pay your bill if you're on a paid plan, and we'll keep the service quiet, capable, and honest.

1. Agreement

NestBoard is operated by NestBoard LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in the USA. References to "NestBoard," "we," "us," and "our" in these terms mean NestBoard LLC.

These terms apply when you use NestBoard. By creating an account or joining a household, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the service.

You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to create a NestBoard account or to be the adult in a household. Children use NestBoard only through a profile a parent or legal guardian creates and controls, as described in our Children's Privacy page.

If you're using NestBoard on behalf of an organization (a care facility, a co-housing group), you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Your household, your content

Anything you create in NestBoard (events, chores, lists, notes, files) belongs to you and your household. We claim no ownership.

We need a limited license to store, display, and sync that content across the devices and members you authorize. Nothing more.

You're responsible for what you and your household members add. Don't add content that violates someone else's rights or breaks the law.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use NestBoard to harass, threaten, or harm anyone, including other members of your household.

Don't try to break the service, scrape it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to send spam or unsolicited messages.

Don't share account credentials. Households are designed for shared use, which is why we have multi-seat plans.

4. Plans, billing, and trials

New households get a 2-week free trial of every feature with no card required.

For households created on or after October 25, 2026: when the trial ends, your board stays locked until you subscribe. Pages stay on screen behind a blur and cannot be used or changed, while Settings, Subscription & Billing, data export, account and household deletion, sign out, Help, and our legal pages stay open, and nothing is deleted. Households created before that date get 7 days of full access after the trial, and then become read-only (see Cancellation & deletion below). A household that has paid and then cancels becomes read-only, never locked.

After the trial, the household plan is a flat $4.99/month, or $49.99/year (two months free), covering the whole household with unlimited members. There are no per-seat charges.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, every month or every year depending on the plan you chose, and you are charged the price in effect at that time until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: from Settings in NestBoard, at link.com for a subscription sold through Link, through your Apple account for an App Store subscription, in Google Play for a Google Play subscription, or in your Amazon account for an Amazon Appstore subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

A subscription you start on our website is sold through Link, the checkout service run by Stripe. Link is the merchant of record for that sale: it takes the payment, sends your receipts, and handles payment and subscription questions, and Link's own terms for purchases sold through it (link.com/terms) apply alongside these. NestBoard LLC still provides NestBoard itself and supports it. A subscription you bought on our website before we moved checkout to Link stays with NestBoard LLC, billed through Stripe as before. If you subscribe inside our iPhone or iPad app, your purchase is processed by Apple In-App Purchase under Apple's terms, and billing, renewals, and cancellations for that subscription are managed through your Apple account. Refunds for App Store purchases are requested through Apple, not us. If you subscribe inside our Android app from Google Play, your purchase is processed by Google Play's billing system under Google Play's terms, and billing, renewals, and cancellations for that subscription are managed through your Google Play account. If you subscribe inside our Fire tablet app from the Amazon Appstore, your purchase is processed by Amazon's In-App Purchasing system under Amazon's terms, and billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for that subscription are managed through your Amazon account.

Prices are set in US dollars. On a subscription sold through Link, the price already includes any sales tax, VAT, or GST: you pay $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, and no tax is added on top at checkout. In the countries Link covers for tax, which include the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, and the EU, Link works out any tax due where you live as part of that price and pays it to the tax authority. Link may also offer you the price in your own currency. If you choose to pay in it, Link converts the US dollar price again at each payment, so the amount can change a little from one payment to the next. On a web subscription bought before we moved checkout to Link, tax is added only where NestBoard LLC is registered to collect it. App Store purchases are priced in your local currency and taxed by Apple. Google Play purchases are priced in your local currency, and Google Play handles the tax on them. Amazon Appstore purchases are priced in your local currency, and Amazon handles the tax on them.

Refunds within 30 days of your first paid charge, no questions. After that, you can cancel any time and future charges stop immediately. We do not pro-rate the current cycle, but you keep full access until it ends.

On a subscription sold through Link you can also ask Link for a refund at support.link.com, and Link decides that request under its own refund policy. Our 30-day promise above applies either way.

We may change pricing with 30 days' email notice, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.

5. Robin (AI)

Robin is an assistant. It suggests, it does not decide. It can be wrong, so you're responsible for reviewing what it drafts before you accept it.

Robin only acts on inputs you give it: pasted text, forwarded mail, voice notes, attached screenshots, and what is already in your household.

Robin does not browse the web, read your inbox, or operate independently of you.

6. Service availability

We aim for high availability and respond to outages quickly. Our public status page at mynestboard.com/status is where we post ongoing incidents.

We may take the service down for maintenance with reasonable notice.

We will not delete your data without notice. Account deletion follows the policy in our Privacy Policy.

7. Cancellation & deletion

Cancel any time from Settings. Future charges stop, and you keep full access for the rest of the period you already paid for. Only after that does the household become read-only, and nothing is deleted when it does: everything is still there to read, and resubscribing turns writing back on. You can cancel a subscription sold through Link at link.com.

Delete your account at any time, and if you are an adult in the household you can delete the whole household from the same place. Your data is kept for 30 days, so you can undo it by signing back in during that window. Some things go straight away and do not come back when you undo it, such as invites nobody has accepted yet and connected Google and Outlook calendars. The Privacy Policy, section 4, says when. After 30 days the live data is removed. Backup copies take longer: our host's daily snapshots keep a copy for up to six more days, and the daily offsite copy, kept with a different cloud provider, is fully gone about 38 days after it was taken. Deleting the household, or deleting your account when you are the last account in the household, stops future charges on a subscription you bought from us: it is set to end when the current billing period runs out, so you are not billed again, and undoing the deletion restores it. That includes a subscription sold through Link on our website. That is not a refund of the period already paid for. Future charges stop the same way when the only other sign-ins in the household belong to children, guests or caregivers: their sign-ins are removed with yours and the household is deleted at the end of the 30 days, as if yours were the last account, and signing back in during the 30 days cancels that and brings their sign-ins back too. If another adult still signs in when you delete your own account, the subscription is the household's and keeps running for them, so if you pay for it and want the charges to stop, cancel it from Settings before you delete your account. App Store subscriptions are managed and cancelled through Apple, so cancel there as well if that is where you subscribed. Google Play subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play, so if you subscribed in our Android app, cancel there as well, because deleting your account or household does not stop a Google Play subscription.

Unverified accounts: if you sign up but never confirm your email, we send up to two reminder emails and then automatically delete the unverified account 30 days after signup. We do not delete it while someone else in the household still signs in. See the Privacy Policy for details.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, after notice and a chance to fix the issue when reasonable.

8. Disclaimers

NestBoard is a coordination tool, not a medical or legal record system. Don't rely on it as the system of record for medication adherence, legal custody arrangements, or anything where regulated record-keeping is required.

We provide the service "as is" and do not warrant it will be error-free. Where law allows, our liability is capped at the amount you have paid for NestBoard in the past 12 months, however you paid it: on our website (including through Link), or through Apple's App Store, Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, or another app store.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida. EU and UK consumers retain any mandatory rights of their home jurisdiction.

10. Changes & contact

We may update these terms. We email account holders about material changes to these terms at least 30 days before they take effect.

Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.
