NestBoard is designed for households, not for kids signing up on their own. Children never create an account and never need an email address.

A parent or guardian creates the household and adds a "kid seat" for each child from inside their own account. The parent stays in control of what the child sees and can do.

Because a verified adult creates and controls each seat, the parent provides consent for the limited data tied to that child. There is no independent child registration anywhere in NestBoard.

Only an adult account holder can add a kid seat, and they do it from within their own household. There is no separate sign-up, login, or invitation a child completes themselves.

The parent decides everything about the seat: the display name or initial, the color, and which chores, events, or reminders the child is part of.

A kid seat is fully managed by the parent. The parent can change what the child sees and can do at any time.

For children under 13, NestBoard follows a COPPA-aligned, parent-consent model.

Because a verified adult creates and controls the seat, the parent provides consent for the limited data tied to that child, things like a name or initial, assigned chores, and schedule items.

No independent child registration exists. A child cannot create a seat, hand over personal information, or open an account without the parent doing it for them.

We do not show advertising to children.

We do not sell children's data, ever, to anyone.

We do not build behavioral profiles of children.

We do not use family data to train AI models.

We do not embed third-party trackers aimed at children.

A kid seat holds only what the household actually needs to run: a display name, a color, and the chores, events, routines, allowance, or medications assigned to that child.

If the household sets a home location for weather and lightning alerts, that location belongs to the household (not the child) and is used only to power those features. And like all NestBoard data, a child's information may transit the infrastructure and AI providers we list at mynestboard.com/subprocessors; we never train AI on family data, and those providers operate under no-training agreements.

Parents can edit or delete a child's data at any time.

Parents can also export or delete the entire household, which removes every kid seat along with it.

Review: see all of the information tied to your child's seat.

Edit: correct or change your child's information whenever you like.

Delete: remove your child's data, or revoke consent entirely by deleting the kid seat.

Revoke: remove the seat or delete the household at any time to end NestBoard's involvement with that child's data.
