Refund policy

Refunds, plainly.

If you change your mind, we want it to be easy. Here is exactly how that works.

EFFECTIVE DATE: JUNE 11, 2026 · LAST UPDATED: OCTOBER 21, 2026

The short version

Within 30 days of your first paid charge, email hello@mynestboard.com and we will refund the most recent charge. No questions asked.

After 30 days, you can cancel anytime. We will not bill you for the next cycle. We do not pro-rate the current cycle, but you keep full access until it ends.

Free trial: Every new household gets 2 weeks of full access with no card on file, so there is nothing to refund. If you add a card and get charged after the trial ends, the 30-day refund window applies to that charge.

When we can't issue a refund

  • Charges older than 30 days, except where required by local consumer law.
  • Accounts that violated the Terms of Service (e.g., were suspended for abuse).
  • Subscriptions bought inside our iPhone or iPad app. Those are Apple In-App Purchases, so refunds go through Apple's own refund flow, not us. Subscriptions bought inside our Fire tablet app from the Amazon Appstore work the same way: Amazon takes the payment, so refunds are requested through Amazon, not us. Google Play is different: our 30-day refund covers a subscription bought inside our Android app from Google Play, and you can also ask Google for a refund through Google Play.

How to request a refund

Email us at hello@mynestboard.com with:

  • The email address on your NestBoard account.
  • The approximate date of the charge.
  • One sentence on why, if you feel like sharing. It helps us improve.

We answer within 1 business day. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days depending on your card issuer.

If your receipt says "Sold through Link"

New subscriptions on our website are sold through Link, the checkout service run by Stripe, so your receipts, and the notice when a refund goes through, come from Link rather than from us. Our promise on this page covers them just the same: within 30 days of your first paid charge, email us and we will refund it.

You can also ask Link directly at support.link.com, and Link decides those requests under its own refund policy. If you paid in your own currency, a refund goes back at the same exchange rate as the payment. Cancelling, and deleting your account or household, end a subscription sold through Link the same way they end any other subscription bought on our website, and you can also cancel one at link.com.

Cancellation (different from a refund)

Cancelling in your account stops future billing. You keep full access for the rest of the period you already paid for. After that, nothing is deleted: your household becomes read-only, so you can still see everything and export it all as a plain ICS file at any point. Resubscribing picks up right where you left off. For a plan bought through the Amazon Appstore, cancel in your Amazon account, under Memberships & Subscriptions; cancelling in NestBoard does not stop Amazon billing.

Deleting the household, or deleting your account when you are the last account in the household, does the same thing to a subscription you bought from us: it is set to end when the current billing period runs out, you are not billed again, and undoing the deletion within the 30-day window restores it. That is not a refund of the period already paid for. Future charges stop the same way when the only other sign-ins in the household belong to children, guests or caregivers, because their sign-ins are removed with yours. The household is then deleted at the end of the 30 days, as if yours were the last account. If another adult still signs in when you delete your own account, the subscription is the household's and keeps running for them, so if you pay for it and want the charges to stop, cancel it before you delete your account.

Disputes & chargebacks

If something goes wrong, please email us first. We are usually faster than your bank. If you file a chargeback without contacting us, we may decline the dispute and your account may be paused while it resolves. A chargeback on a subscription sold through Link is handled by Link, which decides whether to contest it.

Local consumer law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable consumer-protection law. If your jurisdiction grants you stronger rights (for example the 14-day cancellation right for digital content in the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations), those rights apply in addition to what we offer above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The "effective date" at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes (a shorter refund window, new exclusions) will be emailed to active subscribers 30 days in advance.
